Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are made out of a natural substance called Hyaluronic acid which is a natural sugar molecule that is eventually absorbed by the body and naturally broken down. As we age, we lose Hyaluronic Acid causing skin to become loose, thin and dehydrated leading to folds and wrinkles. Soft tissue fillers (Hyaluronic acid) are injected into the skin to help replace volume loss, fill in facial wrinkles and  restore a more youthful appearance. Dermal fillers are also commonly used for shaping and contouring of the face, sculpting cheeks and adding definition to the chin and jawline. Dermal Fillers are temporary and can be expected to last between 6-12 months depending on area treated, lifestyle factors and product selection.

Lip Enhancement

Lip augmentation can be used to enhance thin, asymmetrical or ageing lips by restoring or adding lost volume. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers have been used to treat millions of patients worldwide and is the world’s most popular non surgical treatment. The procedure involves strategically injecting the hyaluronic acid filler to shape, define or enhance the volume to the lips to improve the overall cosmetic appearance. We use a variety of extensively tested dermal fillers including Teoxane, Croma and Juvederm to ensure client safety. Prior to the procedure a face to face consultation will be undertaken where our practitioners can recommend on amount required and brand of filler  to ensure we achieve the desired result.

Cheek Enhancement

As we age, our face can change as we lose some of the natural elasticity within the skin, and this could cause a loss of volume to the cheek area. This could cause lines, folds and wrinkles to appear and become more visible. Cheek fillers are injections that raise the volume of the area above and around your cheekbones. This provides the illusion of a more defined bone structure. By injecting volume under your skin layer, cheek fillers can also smooth out wrinkles and fine lines.Injections of hyaluronic acid dermal filler are administered into the areas under the skin around your cheekbones to give a more defined appearance to the cheekbone.

Marionette Lines

Marionette lines are wrinkles which extend from each corner of your mouth down your chin. Marionette lines can cause your mouth to look downturned, giving you an unhappy appearance. During the ageing process, the fat pads in our upper face gradually diminish, while the fat pads in our lower face become fuller. This causes our skin to sag downwards and develop folds, such as marionette lines. Fillers are very effective at dealing with deep wrinkles such as marionette lines. They gently plump out the wrinkles, resulting in a smoother appearance.

Nasolabial Folds

The nasolabial fold, or smile lines, are the deep wrinkles or lines that run from either side of your nose downwards towards the corner of your mouth. They are extremely common, and you should feel reassured that most of us have them. The severity of the fold varies from patient to patient, and whilst some people don’t mind them, for others, they can cause dissatisfaction or distress. The wrinkles or lines become more noticeable as we age, with fat being lost from the cheeks, skin volume is reduced, and the fold appears deeper. The nasolabial fold filler, also known as the smile line filler, treatment is a series of small injections of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers to the folds in order to help reduce those first signs of ageing.

Smokers Lines

Despite the name, these vertical lip lines are not always caused by smoking, but can also be due to repetitive lip pursing and movement. They are often more visible when lipstick "bleeds" into these lines. Filler into these wrinkles can help reduce their appearance. Filler can also be combined with botox to help maximise reduction. Lip lines appear as indentations/creases (particularly on the upper lip), which can make you look older than you actually are. Dermal filler restores volume to these "smoker's lines" to help flatten them out, reducing the shadows that make these lip lines more noticable.

Non Surgical Rhinoplasty

Non-surgical rhinoplasty, often known as a non-surgical nose job or 'liquid nose job', is a cosmetic procedure used to improve the appearance of the nose without surgery. Many people are now choosing non-surgical rhinoplasty over traditional surgical rhinoplasty, thanks to its shorter procedure time, quicker recovery time, and lower cost, not to mention the excellent results it can deliver. Non-surgical nose jobs work by injecting filler into the tissue on or around the nose. The most commonly used of these fillers is hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a substance that is naturally produced by the body. Depending on where it is injected, HA will have different effects. In order to achieve the desired result, the clinician will inject a small volume of the HA filler into certain areas of the nose. For example, to correct a bump in the nose (dorsal hump), the clinician can inject filler into the bridge of the nose above the bump, to smoothen out the nose.

Tear Trough

As we age, our skin becomes thinner and we lose some of the collagen within it. These changes mean we lose some of the natural elasticity within the skin, which can enhance the appearance of blood vessels, lost volume and dark shadowing beneath the eyes. Tear trough filler treatment, also referred to as under-eye filler or dermal filler, is a popular cosmetic solution for tackling tired looking eyes. It is a non-surgical procedure that involves carefully injecting a gel-like substance into specific areas around the eyes, which works to replace the lost volume brought about through the ageing process. Fillers are an effective option for patients with tear trough hollows and under-eye bags. As we start to age, the area underneath the eyes, known as the tear trough area, becomes more prominent. The change in appearance often presents with dark circles and under-eye hollow, leaving one to look tired and exhausted.

In addition, hollowing under the eyes can expose bags, which make the appearance worse. Dermal filler injections help to normalise facial contouring around the lid-cheek junction and avoids the need for surgery.

Juvenus is a polynucleotide treatment which can be used as alternative to tear trough filler. It helps decrease lower eyelid puffiness, fine lines, wrinkles and volume loss. This treatment is safe on all skin types. This treatment can be done in combination with other treatments.

We offer a wide range of under eye options to tailor your treatment plan and maximise results based on your goals and skin quality.

Mid Cheek

The mid face is the area lying between the bicanthal and oral commissure. The mid face is one of the first facial areas to show signs of aging. As individuals age, the bony skeleton and soft tissues of the face lose volume, producing a slightly wider orbital aperture and less anterior projection. Cheekbones are the focal point of facial bone structure. When doctors inject fillers to plump and fill cheekbones, it not only lifts the mid-face but also gives a pleasing youthfulness to the upper face. By adding volume to the cheek area and contouring the shape of your cheek, you can visibly lift your cheekbones while filling out fine lines and wrinkles in the process.

Jaw

The application of dermal fillers is used to effectively sculpt and reshape the jaw, creating balance and symmetry to frame the face. Jawline filler results are immediately visible. Using dermal fillers to shape, define, and enhance the lower facial contours also has the added benefit of decreasing the appearance of loose skin and the appearance of a double chin (especially when combined with a chin sculpting procedure). In men, this chiselling effect can be more dramatic. For women, depending on their desired facial shape, jawline fillers can achieve an angle that can range from soft to dramatic.

Chin

The aim of non-surgical chin augmentation is to make the chin stronger and more harmonious with the help of high-quality hyaluronic acid. By injecting the chin area with fillers, the volume is enhanced and the proportions of the face profile are improved. Chin filler treatment can also have an anti-aging effect, tightening the skin around the mouth and neck, smoothening lines. For an overall harmoniously defined lower facial area, the combination of chin filler and jawline filler is ideal.

Temples

Temple fillers can improve the balance of your overall face shape. Patients who receive temple fillers achieve a more oval or heart-shaped face, which is often sought-after in women. Men who choose the procedure can also achieve a stronger brow area and improved, masculine face shape. As you age, your temple areas lose fat, leading to a “hollow” look in the absence of natural volume. Dermal fillers like hyaluronic acid can help fill in these hollows and restore volume to the temples and brow area. In some cases, using dermal fillers in your temples can help lift the sides of your eyes nearest to the temples. The additional volume of dermal fillers can firm up and add volume in the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles often called 'crows feet' that accumulate around the eyes.
