Chemical Peel

The use of chemical peels date back to Ancient Egypt when Cleopatra used sour milk to improve the appearance of her skin. Lactic acid – an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) is the active ingredient in sour milk. A chemical peel is a treatment used to improve the skin texture and tone. An acid is applied to the skin to lower the pH, which loosens the connections between dead skin cells, inducing exfoliation and stimulating new cell growth. This process causes the superficial layers of the dead skin to peel off, revealing a smoother more radiant complexion. Chemical peels can also thicken the epidermis, increase dermal volume and stimulate collagen production. Peels can be described as superficial, medium or deep according to how far they penetrate the skin. Deeper peels are associated with longer down time and more side effects.

PRP

When blood is placed into a centrifuge, it separates into three distinct layers: plasma on top, platelets and blood cells in the middle, and red blood cells at the bottom. PRP is derived from the center part, also known as the serum portion.

The platelets, in particular, contain pockets called alpha granules, which secrete high levels of growth factors. They've been shown to be effective for wound healing, as well as improving skin elasticity, volume, and texture. The plasma is injected into the skin while the blood is then used to micro needle into the skin, essentially treating the skin from the inside & out! Dermaplaning
